Northern Virginia weddings run the full range – a vineyard in Loudoun County, a historic inn in Middleburg, a rooftop in Arlington, a club in Great Falls – and the groom’s suit should be built for the actual day: the venue, the season, the photos. The Tailored Man has dressed Northern Virginia grooms from our Tysons Corner showroom since 1969, every fitting in person with the same clothier.

Suit or Tuxedo?

Daytime vineyard or garden wedding: a custom suit in a lighter wool or wool-linen blend. Evening or black-tie-optional: consider a custom tuxedo or a midnight-blue suit. We match cloth weight to the season – June humidity and October evenings argue for different fabrics – and the formality to the invitation.

The Timeline That Actually Works

Book your first fitting 3 to 4 months before the wedding. Most suits are ready for a first fitting in seven weeks. For a wedding or an event, plan on ordering about twelve weeks ahead, which leaves comfortable margin for a final adjustment after your last pre-wedding weight change. Tighter window? Call us – we’ll tell you honestly what’s possible.

Wedding Parties and Fathers

We coordinate groomsmen and fathers of the couple: the same cloth in different cuts, or coordinated tones that photograph as a group without looking like a uniform. Group fittings happen at the showroom; out-of-town groomsmen can join late in the schedule with measurements sent ahead.

What It Costs

Custom wedding suits from $895 (half-canvas – never fused – in the Iniziare collection), premium fabrics from $1,295, and most grooms land between $1,295 and $1,995. Custom tuxedos from $1,095. The suit outlives the wedding – most grooms wear theirs for years. Explore our wedding services and custom suits.
