Custom suits, measured and fitted in person at our Tysons Corner showroom. We have been making clothing in this corner of Northern Virginia since 1969 – first across the street, now at 1750 Tysons Boulevard, a short walk from Tysons Galleria. Suits are cut to 49 individual measurements, built on a half-canvas floor, and finished by hand. Nothing we make is fused.

Custom Suits Fitted in Tysons Corner

Our showroom sits inside the Tysons commercial district, technically a McLean address, in the same neighborhood as Booz Allen, Capital One, MITRE, and the Tysons Galleria. For most clients here, that location is the point: a fitting fits between a meeting and a flight, or after a Saturday morning at the mall.

A first appointment runs about an hour. We talk through the occasion the suit is for, the rest of your wardrobe, and the way you actually wear clothes – sleeves rolled at the desk, jacket on for a hearing, slim collar under a tie, open at the neck on the road. Then we measure: 49 individual measurements, taken in person, with attention to posture, shoulder slope, and stance. The numbers matter, but the judgment around them matters more.

We do not stock off-the-rack. Every suit that leaves the shop is built to the person who ordered it.

Why Tysons Clients Choose Us

Tysons holds one of the densest concentrations of consultants, federal contractors, attorneys, and corporate executives in the country. The clothing problem here is specific: a wardrobe has to work for a regulator’s office on Tuesday, an investor pitch on Wednesday, and a black-tie fundraiser on Thursday. Off-the-rack rarely solves all three.

Clients come to us because we treat fit as a long conversation rather than a single transaction. The first suit teaches us about your build and your taste. The second one is sharper for it. By the fourth or fifth, your file at the shop reads like a small wardrobe plan – preferred mills, preferred linings, the lapel width you have settled on, the trouser break you came around to.

We serve clients from across Washington DC, Northern Virginia, and Maryland, and a quiet number of out-of-town clients who plan their fittings around trips to Tysons. The local concentration here is what allows us to keep the shop unhurried.

Pricing

Our pricing scales with two choices: fabric and construction.

The Iniziare collection – from $895. Half-canvas construction is the floor; we make no fused garments. This is the entry suit, and it is genuinely a custom suit – same 49 measurements, same fittings, same tailors. The fabric range is narrower and the cloth weights are weekday-durable.

Premium fabrics – from $1,295. Cloth from Loro Piana, Holland & Sherry, Ermenegildo Zegna, Scabal, Dormeuil, Vitale Barberis Canonico, Marzoni, Reda, Drago, and Stylbiella. This is where most Tysons clients land for the suit they will wear most.

Handmade Collection – from $3,200. Top-tier mills paired with the highest construction grade we offer.

Construction upgrades, applied on top of the fabric you choose: full canvas at +$200, fully handmade at +$350, our Presidential tier at +$500 to $750 depending on cloth. Tuxedos start at $1,095 in the standard collection.

A complete answer to “what will my suit cost” is a five-minute conversation in the showroom. Bring the occasion, the budget, and the timeline, and we’ll build the right combination.

Fabric Options

We work directly with the mills that supply the rest of the world’s serious tailoring shops. The drawers in the showroom carry hundreds of bunches at any given time – worsteds for the office year-round, tropical wools and high-twist openweaves for the long Washington summer, flannels and cashmere blends for winter, linen and linen-silk for July weddings.

For most Tysons clients we recommend a 9- to 11-ounce four-season wool as the first suit, then expand from there: a charcoal or navy worsted to start, then an unstructured sport coat for the office’s casual days, then a darker dinner jacket for the gala season. We will not push the top of the bunch when a mid-tier cloth is the right answer for what you actually wear.

Your Fitting Process

Three appointments, typically:

1. Consultation and measure. Roughly 60 minutes. We talk through purpose and wardrobe, walk the fabric library together, choose construction, and take all 49 measurements. You leave with a written order and a target fitting date.

2. Production. Your suit is hand-cut and constructed by our atelier partners over seven weeks. Half-canvas baseline with full canvas, fully handmade, and Presidential available as upgrades. Nothing is rushed and nothing is fused.

3. Final fitting. You come back to the Tysons showroom for a try-on and any final adjustments. Sleeve length, trouser break, sometimes a quarter-inch off the side seam – small corrections, made to the actual garment on your actual body, finished in our shop.

For a wedding or an event, plan on ordering about twelve weeks ahead. If you are working to a specific date – a wedding, a swearing-in, a board meeting – tell us at the consultation and we will plan backwards from it.

Common Questions

Most of the questions we hear from new clients – turnaround time, alterations on garments we did not make, fabric care, what to expect at a first fitting – are answered on our FAQ page. If you’d like to see what a long-term relationship with the shop looks like, our client stories are written by clients who have been with us anywhere from five to thirty years.
