Bethesda clients cross the river for two reasons: the fit, and the file. The Tailored Man has made custom clothing for Maryland physicians, attorneys, and finance professionals since 1969, and every garment is fitted in person at our Tysons Corner showroom by a clothier who keeps your pattern for the next commission.

Getting Here from Bethesda

From downtown Bethesda or Chevy Chase it’s 20–25 minutes around the Beltway and across the American Legion Bridge to the Route 123 exit for Tysons. Against rush hour it’s an easy drive, and Saturday morning appointments are a favorite with our Maryland clients. We’re in the office tower at 1750 Tysons Blvd, Suite 130 – near Tysons Galleria, not inside it – with parking in the building.

Who We Serve in Bethesda

Physicians and researchers at NIH, Walter Reed, and Suburban; finance and private-equity professionals along Wisconsin Avenue; attorneys; and grooms across Montgomery County. The Bethesda brief often pairs a working wardrobe with formal needs – a gala season suit or tuxedo alongside the weekday rotation – and we plan both from the same measurement file.

What We Make

Custom suits, with most clients landing between $1,295 and $1,995 (premium fabrics from $1,295; the Iniziare collection is the entry point at $895, half-canvas), custom dress shirts, tuxedos from $1,095, wedding attire, sport coats, trousers, and alterations. Working in the District? See our Washington DC custom suits page.

Construction and Fabrics

Half-canvas is our floor – we never build a fused suit. Full canvas (+$200), fully handmade (+$350), and our Presidential tier (+$500–$750) are upgrades. Cloth comes from Loro Piana, Holland & Sherry, Ermenegildo Zegna, Scabal, Dormeuil, Stylbiella, and more, chosen for your body and the season.

Turnaround

Most custom suits are ready for a first fitting in seven weeks. For a wedding or an event, plan on ordering about twelve weeks ahead.
