At The Tailored Man, custom clothing begins with a relationship, not a measurement chart. Since 1969, we’ve worked with professionals who expect their clothing to fit not only their bodies, but their lives. Our approach is personal and intentionally unhurried. We take the time to understand posture, proportion, lifestyle, and intent, because exceptional fit is as much judgment as it is measurement.

We maintain longstanding relationships with the world’s most respected fabric mills (Loro Piana, Holland & Sherry, Ermenegildo Zegna, Scabal, Dormeuil, Drago, Vitale Barberis Canonico, Stylbiella, and others) for depth of choice without overwhelming the process.
The result is clothing that feels considered, confident, and unmistakably yours.
Located at 1750 Tysons Boulevard in McLean, Virginia, the heart of Tysons Corner, the showroom serves clients across Washington DC, Northern Virginia, and Maryland, with clients nationwide who travel to Tysons for fittings or work with us on the road.

Our History
Welcome to The Tailored Man, where distinguished clients have entrusted us since 1969. Co-founders Sunder Daswani and Kishore Daswani proudly served thousands of clients across the US and Canada for over five decades. While expanding to various cities, they always maintained a strong presence in the greater Washington DC area.
When Sunder decided to retire, he searched the area for the person he felt was right to carry the business forward, and chose Brett Howard.
Under the ownership of Brett Howard, Owner & Clothier, The Tailored Man at Tysons has entered a new era of elevated style. Brett’s lifelong passion for men’s clothing drives him to deliver exceptional craftsmanship. With over a decade of experience in the tailored clothing industry, Brett has dressed high-profile clients ranging from politicians and Supreme Court justices to international royalty and television personalities. His meticulous attention to detail and deep knowledge of menswear have earned him their unwavering trust.
As Brett takes the helm, his commitment remains steadfast: ensuring that every man looks his absolute best. He takes great pleasure in guiding clients through the process of creating custom garments, sharing his expertise and passion along the way.

Owner & Clothier
Meet Your Clothier
Brett Howard is the Owner & Clothier of The Tailored Man at Tysons. He has spent over a decade in tailored clothing and custom menswear, and has owned the house since 2023. Since 1969 The Tailored Man has dressed U.S. Senators and Members of Congress, Supreme Court justices, diplomats, and television personalities. The work now is to keep earning that. Named to DC Modern Luxury's Men of Influence and Power Players features, he works personally with each client at the Tysons Corner showroom, every consultation and every fabric selection. The work is private, exacting, and consistent. The clients return because the clothes fit, the conversation continues, and the standard never moves.
“I learned this trade by accident: a friend’s clothing shop in Louisville, his family asking me to take it on, four and a half years there. The work taught me what I now know: every man walks into a fitting room carrying some form of insecurity, and the role of a clothier is to offer reassurance, honesty, and the confidence to become a fuller version of himself. That conviction is what guides every fitting I do.”
